Where to Find the Dodo Plane in GTA 5

The Dodo plane in GTA 5 is first found in a sea cave on the eastern coast, directly east of the RON Alternates Wind Farm. Complete the Sea Plane random event there, and the amphibious aircraft can later spawn at a small lake in Vinewood Hills and at the Galilee dock on the north side of the Alamo Sea.

The French search “où trouver l’avion Dodo GTA V” refers to this enhanced-edition Story Mode activity. The Dodo is not part of the original PS3 or Xbox 360 release, and the random event can require returning-player content eligibility.

Dodo plane locations at a glance

1. First location and unlock event: the cave in a coastal cove east of the RON Alternates Wind Farm.
2. Spawn after unlocking: the small lake in Vinewood Hills, near Franklin's later home area.
3. Spawn after unlocking: the waterfront dock at Galilee, on the northern shore of the Alamo Sea.

If neither permanent spawn contains a plane, leave the area, advance time and return. Vehicles do not appear on every visit, and an occupied spawn point can prevent the Dodo from loading.

Step 1: Complete Nervous Ron

Progress Trevor's Story Mode missions until you complete Nervous Ron. The Sea Plane random event does not become available at the start of a new game.

After the story requirement is met, travel to the coast east of the RON Alternates Wind Farm. The wind turbines provide the clearest landmark when approaching from inland.

Step 2: Find the Sea Plane cave

Follow the shoreline east of the wind farm and look for a rocky cove with a cave entrance at water level. Approaching by boat is the simplest route, although a helicopter or careful trip down the coast can also reach it.

The event places a Dodo inside the cave and hostile guards around the cove. Prepare before entering: carry armor, restore health and avoid destroying the aircraft during the confrontation.

Step 3: Take the Dodo and escape

1. Clear the enemies guarding the cave and nearby boats.
2. Enter the Dodo without damaging its wings or pontoons.
3. Taxi out of the cave into open water.
4. Point the aircraft away from rocks and accelerate across the surface.
5. Gain speed before pulling back gently to take off.
6. Leave the hostile area to complete the random event.

The Dodo is an amphibious floatplane, so it can operate from water while retaining landing gear for suitable ground surfaces. Use a long, clear stretch of water; sharp steering at low speed can push a pontoon into a wave or obstacle.

Permanent spawn 1: Vinewood Hills lake

After completing Sea Plane, check the small reservoir in Vinewood Hills near Franklin's house area. The Dodo can appear beside the water, providing a convenient location for characters based in Los Santos.

Approach slowly and scan the shoreline before assuming the spawn failed. If another vehicle or activity occupies the area, drive several blocks away and return later.

Permanent spawn 2: Galilee on the Alamo Sea

The second post-event Dodo spawn is at a dock in Galilee on the northern side of the Alamo Sea. Galilee sits south-west of Grapeseed along the shoreline.

This location offers a broad body of water for takeoff. Accelerate away from the dock, avoid the shallow edge and climb gradually once the aircraft has enough speed.

Why is the Dodo not appearing?

• Nervous Ron is incomplete: continue Trevor's Story Mode missions.
• Sea Plane has not been completed: the later lake and dock spawns remain locked.
• Your edition is unsupported: the content was introduced for enhanced versions rather than the original PS3 and Xbox 360 releases.
• Your account lacks the returning-player entitlement: Rockstar's support documentation ties the original content unlock to a linked eligible account.
• The spawn is temporarily empty: leave the area, sleep or switch characters, then return.
• You are checking GTA Online: Story Mode random-event spawns and Online vehicle ownership are separate systems.

Rockstar states that returning-player content requires a Rockstar Games account linked to the older platform account that met its original conditions. If the rest of the returning-player content is also missing, verify linked accounts rather than repeatedly revisiting the cave.

Can you spawn the Dodo with a cheat?

Enhanced Story Mode includes the EXTINCT Dodo spawn cheat and the in-game phone number 1-999-398-4628. The aircraft must first be unlocked by completing the Sea Plane event. Cheats can disable achievements or trophies for the current play session, so save before using one.

The cheat is a convenience after unlocking the aircraft; it does not replace the initial coastal-cave event.

Where is the Dodo in GTA Online?

GTA Online treats the Dodo as an owned/requested aircraft rather than relying on the Story Mode lake and cave sequence. Check Elitas Travel from the in-game internet for the listing available to your account. After purchase, request the aircraft through the relevant Pegasus vehicle service and collect it at the marked aircraft spawn.

Prices, discounts and access offers can change during weekly events. Story Mode's Sea Plane unlock should not be used as a guaranteed guide to Online availability.

• Use open water and face away from rocks before accelerating.
• Keep the wings level while building speed.
• Pull back gently; an aggressive climb can cause an early stall.
• Reduce descent speed before touching the water.
• Land parallel to waves where possible and avoid steep impacts.
• Remember that the wingspan is wider than the pontoons when entering a cove.
